ROC Image Examples
The following 3 image sequence was scanned from a faded
Ektachrome side dated 1959. This slide was kindly donated by an interested third
party. Each image has the corresponding Photoshop histogram of the full size
image embedded near the bottom center of the image. The only image adjustment
was +.2 of gamma correction in Photoshop. Nikon Scan's default color and
exposure selections were used for each scan. Each image can also be seen as a
2655X1788 pixel low compression JPEG at about 450K by clicking on the smaller
image. The first image has had no ROC (restoration of color) applied. The second
image had ROC applied at level 5 and the third image had ROC applied at level
10. You can apply ROC in increments of 1 between 1 and 10. Just like GEM,
ROC is a post scan process.

No image processing

ROC at level 5

ROC at level 10, the maximum
