PHOTOGRAPHER'S COMMENTS: This photo was taken during a motorcycle trip through the Sierras. We were running late and stopped at the view area on southbound Hwy 41. This scene just before sunset reminded me of the style and quality of light that early American landscape painters applied to canvas.
