PHOTOGRAPHER'S COMMENTS: This photograph of the Carlsbad California flower fields was taken in the 1980's. Back in those days you could walk around in many of the grower's fields. Almost all of the fields have been replaced with housing and commercial developments. Now there is only one flower field left and you have to pay to walk around in it.
